Doha: Members of the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) elected Maryam bint Abdullah Al Attiyah as Chairman of the NHRC yesterday.
Al Attiyah stressed to work for the continuity of this great legacy and following an approach that ensures the stability of the NHRC at the top among its counterparts in the world and aspiration to achieve more human rights achievements. She said chairing the NHRC was a great trust that requires cooperation between all state institutions to ensure the advancement of human dignity in Qatar.
Al Attiyah said she would make the greatest effort and harness the utmost energies to assume this national and humanitarian responsibility.
