Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has launched its application 'Darb' for smartphones and smart devices as part of enhancing accessibility to its digital services anytime, anyplace.
Currently, 'Darb' provides a package of new digital services related to maritime transportation affairs, particularly small crafts transactions. Using 'Darb' now, beneficiaries can register a new jet ski or other such small craft, renew a small crafts registration license, modify a small crafts specifications, have a replacement for a lost or damaged license issued, delete a small craft, have a small crafts ownership sequence certificate issued, apply for a small crafts mortgage service, apply for a small crafts mortgage release service, and modify a small crafts ownership.
'Darb' has a notification feature that keeps users updated on their applications, in addition to a feature that allows users to request their maritime vessels cards to be sent via Qatar Post.
Beneficiaries can visit and apply for those new digital services at their convenience, thereby saving time and effort.
Users can also get in touch with the MOT team directly via the "Contact Us" page, the Helpline 16016, or email infomot.gov.qa.
They can also use the application to reach the MOTs official website where they can view MOTs news and events. "Darb" will include other MOTs digital services soon. They relate to seafarers affairs and land transportation licensing.
The launch of both digital services and the application comes within MOTs efforts to modernize the countrys transportation sector in a fashion that meets technological advancements. Digitizing the services is one of MOTs top priorities.
The MOT, by so doing, is also implementing its plans that aim at improving the services and making them easier, simpler, and available, thereby triggering higher public satisfaction.
