Doha: Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali Al-Nuaimi inaugurated the Documentary Exhibition on 'Scientific Excellence Award 2020' on its fifteenth edition under the slogan "With Excellence We Build Generations".
The exhibition, which is being held at Katara Cultural Village, aims to introduce the history of the award, its categories and winners, as it chronicles the course of its editions since 2007.
The exhibition also provides an opportunity for visitors to get acquainted closely with the award criteria, methods of submission and participation, preparation of its requirements as well as its initiative known as "Ambassadors of Excellence", as it contains many pavilions that document all of this, as films for all previous sessions,pictures of the winners, the medals and certificates they received, and the award's commemorative stamps are shown.
Ali Abdullah Al-Buainain, who is acting as CEO of the Scientific Excellence Award, stressed the importance of the documentary exhibition, which reviews the progress of the award since its first edition, and the most prominent previous honoring stations that the distinguished persons have received.
He added that the Documentary Exhibition of the Scientific Excellence Award serves as a bridge of communication between the winning generations over the past years, calling on winners and educational institutions including schools and universities to visit i, view its contents and learn about the award, its history, and the distinguished persons who won it.
The total number of distinguished honorees in the march of scientific excellence during the past fifteen years has exceeded 800 individuals and institutions In the nine categories of the award, which include distinguished students from the primary, the preparatory and the secondary stages as well as, the distinguished teacher award, the distinguished school, university students, scientific research, masters degree holders, and doctoral degrees.
The Documentary Exhibition for the Scientific Excellence Award continues until the fifth of next March, and receives visitors daily from ten in the morning until six in the evening, except for Friday where visitors can come from three in the afternoon until nine in the evening.
