Northwesterly winds to cause noticeable drop in temperatures

Doha, Qatar: Qatar Meteorology Department said that the northwesterly winds are expected to continue affecting the country over the next two day, which will result in a noticeable drop in temperatures. 

This mercury dip will also lead to increased sense of cold in the coming two days, it added. 

The department recorded the lowest temperature for this morning at Sudanthile station at 13°C, while Doha recorded 17°C. 

Meanwhile in its daily weather report, it said that weather inshore until 6pm on Saturday will be relatively cold to moderate temperature daytime with slight dust at places and cold by night, warning of strong wind at places at first.

Offshore, it will be slightly dusty with scattered clouds at times, the report added, warning of strong wind and high sea.

Wind inshore will be northwesterly at a speed of 07 - 17 KT, reaches 22 KT at places at first.

Offshore, it will be northwesterly at a speed of 08 - 18 KT, gusting to 25 KT at times.

Sea state inshore will be 2 - 4 ft, while offshore will be 3 - 5 ft, rising to 8 ft at times.

Visibility inshore will be 5 - 10 km, while offshore will be 4 - 9 km.
