Artists from India performing at the ICC.
Doha, Qatar: Soulful instrumental performances and colorful group dances captivated the audience at Indian Cultural Centre’s event held on January 28 in ICC’s premises. Artists traveled from India represented the Indian Council of Cultural Relations.
Bipul Ray, Mayank Raina and Aditya Banerjee performed on musical instruments such as Santoor and Tabla. Narma Devi, Sophia Lisam, Chinglembi Y., Olnam Devi and Daisy Salam performed traditional Manipuri dance.
Deepak Pundir, Indian Embassy Official and Thaha Muhamad, IBPC President were present on this occasion.
ICC’s Head of Cultural Activities, Nandini Abbagouni welcomed the audience. ICC’s President A.P. Manikantan explained the significance of such cultural initiatives. ICC’s Secretary Abraham Joseph thanked the community for the response to the cultural events and explained the various initiatives ICC is undertaking. The event also promoted the Indian Tribal products from TRIFED. IBPC led this initiative.
ICC’s Head of School Activities, Shantanu Deshpande, anchored the proceedings. ICC’s General Secretary, Mohan Kumar, rest of the ICC Managing Committee members, Presidents of the other associated organizations and senior community leaders were present on this occasion.
