Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) has contributed to enhance the access to quality education for 13,540 refugees in Gaziantep with the support of strategic partners — Qatar Charity and Spark.

Gaziantep is a small Turkish city hosting a large number of Syrian refugees. In a short video shared on its Twitter account to mark the International Day of Education, QFFD said investing in education is the key that will provide children and youth with the tools they need to be productive and active members to their societies.

“QFFD believes that education is the key to peace, stability and security. In 2021, QFFD worked with its strategic partners to develop education sector.”

The Fund said that quality primary education was provided with the support of Education Above All Foundation for out of school children across the world. “Qatar Scholarships is a programme spearheaded by QFFD in cooperation with several prestigious and leading educational institutions in the State of Qatar. It is driven by Qatar’s vision to advance quality education worldwide and offering grants in tertiary, language and higher education programmes to international students from developing countries.”

QFFD said that supporting access to quality education is a global responsibility and QFFD continues its commitment to support and develop education necessities with all strategic partners. According to an earlier statement by the Fund, QFFD is supporting Syrian refugees in Turkey towards stability with the help of its strategic partners.

QFFD is working hand in hand with its strategic partners Qatar Charity and Spark to bring about positive change to Syrian refugees. QFFD through its projects and programmes is contributing to enhancing stability for Syrian refugees through investment in young Syrian refugees, facilitating access to quality education through the  rehabilitation of six formal schools in Turkey, in Gaziantep, Urfa, Kilis.
