Qatar national curling team kicks off at Asian Winter Games tomorrow

Beijing: The Qatari curling team will begin its participation in the 9th Asian Winter Games Harbin 2025 tomorrow. The games are currently held in China and will last until February 14, featuring 1,275 athletes from 34 countries.

The Qatari men's national team will play two matches tomorrow against Saudi Arabia and Japan, then face China on Monday, Hong Kong on Tuesday, and Thailand on Wednesday.

The Qatari women's curling team will start its matches by facing the Philippines tomorrow, then meet China and Japan on Monday, play with Kazakhstan and Chinese Taipei on Tuesday, Thailand and Hong Kong on Wednesday, and South Korea on Thursday.
The Qatar curling team includes 12 players: Abdulrahman Qasem Al Yafei, Ahmed Saad Al Fahd, Nasser Abdulrahman Al Yafei, Mubarak Salem Al Marri, Mohammed

Hassan Al Nuaimi, Naif Badr Al Rumaihi, Al Dana Ahmed Al Fahad, Sarah Hamoud Al Qeet, Fatima Ahmed Al Fahd, Hosina Hassan Al Fahad, Mubarak Salem Al Abdullah, and Amina Hamoud Al Qeet.

Qatar is participating in four games at the tournament: short track speed skating, snowboarding, alpine skiing, and curling.

The 9th Asian Winter Games (Harbin 2025) feature 1,275 athletes (755 male and 520 female) from 34 national Olympic committees in Asia, an unprecedented number in the event's history.

847 athletes (513 male and 334 female) will compete in snow events held in Harbin, while 428 athletes (242 male and 186 female) will compete in snow events held in Yabuli, about 190 kilometers from Harbin.

The games will feature 64 events in 11 disciplines across six sports, with 32 events on ice in Harbin and 32 events on snow in Yabuli.
