Doha: Focus International Qatar, in collaboration with the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) organised various art competitions as part of its Mental Health campaign theme “Don’t Lose Hope.”
Among competitions included are essay, short story, poetry and photography competitions. The campaign aims to hopefully overcome the psychological hardships that the COVID-19 pandemic brought to the public.
The two organisations also hoped that through the competitions, people will be able to express their experiences during the said time.
The competition is open to both young and adults alike living in Qatar.
The essay can be written in Malayalam or English languages, and should not be exceed ten pages. Meanwhile, stories and poems can be written in both languages as well.
For the photography competition, the photo must have been recently taken in Qatar and should not be edited. Only one entry per person will be accepted.
Focus International Qatar which is a youth group also announced that they have received various entries for its short film competition. Winners will be announced and be awarded on April 1 at the campaign’s closing ceremonies.
