Commenting on the event, Dr. Khaled Kamal Naji, Dean of QU College of Engineering, said, “This event will highlight the role of students and their ability to create distinctive and innovative events and launch an initiative that will contribute to meeting the Qatari society’s need for human resources in artificial intelligence. This event will also have a positive impact on the youth and students by expanding their awareness of the solutions available in artificial intelligence and how they work.”

Dr. Naji also stressed the cooperation between students and faculty members at the College of Engineering and what they can offer through this event, adding, “The event aims to contribute to achieving the organisation’s goal of spreading awareness of artificial intelligence in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, and the aspirations of students and those interested in the field of artificial intelligence.”

Abdullah Al Mulla, Director of QU Student Activities Department, added, “We are always proud of our students’ impressive abilities in contributing to the dissemination of science and the application of what is learned in their classrooms on the ground, to be a valid seed in society and important participants in change and technological development.

"We in the Student Activities Department are always looking forward to giving our students opportunities that enhance these capabilities to be key actors in the development of a university graduate armed with science and experience through such initiatives and events.”

Dr. Abdulaziz Al Ali, Director of CENG KINDI Computing Research Center and AI Organization mentor, said, “The integration of students into similar activities and events enhances their role as a prominent segment in change and growth in society. Musallam Al Qawasmi, Head of the AI Organization, commented, “Here we are today, six months after the launch of the organisation, we prove the students’ ability to be creative, innovative and able to make positive change in society. The launch of this first annual event represents only the first steps of success for the organisation and we look forward to welcoming all our fellow students and youth from all groups. The event and the workshops presented will help provide a broader and general understanding of artificial intelligence in all fields.

"We will also open the way for young innovators to showcase their innovations in artificial intelligence, and it will serve as a starting gateway for the organisation in preparing the youth and the next generation to compete in this field.”
