Doha: Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal to the State of Qatar H E Dr. Mohammed Habibo Diallo described the existing relations between the two countries as strong and distinguished at all political and economic levels due to convergence of views and common visions and strategic plans, pointing out in this regard to Qatar National Vision 2030 and Plan Senegal Emergent 2035.
The Ambassador told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the Qatari-Senegalese relationship go back to 1975, and it was deepened by the historic visit of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in 2017, which witnessed the signing of many important agreements, adding that his country is currently seeking to activate these agreements and looks forward to strengthening this cooperation to serve the interests of the two countries and people under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Senegal Macky Sall and H H the Amir.
Dr. Mohammed Habibo Diallo congratulated Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Father Amir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Qatari people on the occasion of the National Day, stressing that the celebration of this national occasion, which was established by the late Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, is considered a shining history in the march of Qatar at the local, regional and global level as a result of what successive generations have achieved in terms of rapprochement between people of the world, the consolidation of a culture of dialogue, the spreading of a culture of tolerance, the effective contribution to the establishment of international peace and security and the advancement of state at all level, in addition to the leaps and recognized achievements made due to the wisdom and rational leadership of H H the Amir.
He stressed that Qatar proved that it is the protector of international peace and security, especially its appreciable and unparalleled efforts in Afghanistan to save it from the cycle of strife.
