Doha: The Minister of Social Development and Family H E Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, confirmed that the Ministry is constantly working to support its partnership with private associations and institutions, as they represent a real tributary in organizing the Ministry's tasks and competencies.
Her Excellency said, during the honoring ceremony held today for the private associations and institutions that won the first round of the quality initiatives competition organized by the Ministry, that this celebration comes to serve the community, and affirms the Ministry's belief in the role played by private associations and institutions in cooperation with state institutions to achieve the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. Her Excellency pointed out that private associations and institutions are one of the pillars of social capital, which also includes all voluntary institutions that contribute to economic, social and cultural development in society.
Her Excellency expressed her gratitude to the heads and members of the boards of directors and general assemblies of private associations and institutions for their important role in strengthening partnership with state institutions and achieving national development goals, noting the role that these associations play in providing many social, scientific, cultural and economic services to the Qatari community. Her Excellency appreciated the pioneering and innovative ideas contained in the participating initiatives to serve the community, in light of the Ministry's continued support for the qualitative initiatives of private associations and institutions, to help them achieve their goals.
HE Minister of Social Development and Family congratulated the winning associations and the participating ones in this edition for their programs that reflect the objectives of their various activities and contribute to raising the awareness of citizens and residents about the great role played by civil society organizations in the State of Qatar. Her Excellency appreciated the role of the Ministry's partners in this competition, especially the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs represented by the General Administration of Endowments and Qatar Charity, for their cooperation for the success of the competition.
Her Excellency commended the good contributions of the participating associations, expressing her hope that such ideas, proposals and qualitative initiatives that enrich social work in the country and serve all segments of society will continue.
During the ceremony, the event sponsors were honored, which are the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Qatar Charity, as well as four societies that received certificates of excellence in initiatives.
