The Ministry of Interior has explained the requirements for getting a visit visa for family and relatives, in an awareness webinar held yesterday.
Lt Col Dr Saad Uwaidha Al Ahbabi, Head of Service Offices Section, spoke about different services provided by the department and also elaborated requirements for getting a visit visa for family and relatives.
Visa applications needs to be sub-mitted through Metrash2 for spouse, children or for relatives like brother, sister or parents.To apply visit visas for spouse and children, a minimum salary of QR5,000 is required while for other rela-tives minimum salary required is QR10,000. Lt Col Dr Al Ahbabi said that requirement for personal visit visas for spouse and children includes visit visa application form, no objection letter from employer, photocopy of company card, copy of passport of the visitor, copy of the appli-cants ID card, health insurance, a round trip tickets, proof of relationship (wife-notarized marriage certificate/Children - birth certificate) , work contract (notarized by the labor department) besides the applicant should have a minimum salary of QR5,000.
For personal visit for other relatives (brother, sister, mother, father, spouse’s rela-tives etc), the applicant should submit visit visa application form, no objection letter from the employer, photocopy of company card, copy of passport of the visitor, copy of the appli-cant’s ID card, copy of the wife’s residency card (if she is a res-ident) and proof of relationship.
The applicant should have a minimum salary of QR10,000.On requirement for entry permit of newborn, Lt Col Dr Al Ahbabi said that the requirements are original passport of the child, original birth certificate, photos, copy of residence permit for the applicant and mother’s visa.
The baby will get visa on arrival only if the mother is under the sponsorship of the applicant.Lt Col Dr Al Ahbabi also said that that there are 18 MoI service centers spread across the country to provide visas, residence, change of employer, and ID issuance and renewal services among others.
The webinar on “The Services offered by the Services Centers of the Ministry of Interior and the Humanitarian Services Office" was organised by the Public Relations Department of Ministry in collaboration with the Unified Services Dept. under the General Directorate of Passports.Over 250 people from HR, finance, safety, security, the public and private companies, and heads and representatives of expat com-munities attended the event.
The webinar also included a presentation by Captain Mohammad Ali Al Rashed from the Unified Services Department on the procedures related to a time limit to correct the legal status of expatriates who violate the provisions of law regulating entry and exit which began from October 10 and will continue untill December 31, 2021.
The expatriates who have violated the residency, work visa or family visit visa rules have been given a grace period to submit a request for recon-ciliation to correct their legal status and avoid legal procedures.
The requests for reconcili-ation can be filed during the specified period from 1pm to 6pm
