Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with Merch and Partners WLL, Qatar’s Kinder chocolate dealership, has announced the recall campaign of kinder surprise Maxi chocolate eggs.

The 100g chocolate eggs, made in Belgium, with batch numbers L004L03 & L005L03 AD, are withdrawn due to possible contamination with salmonella bacteria.

The Ministry said the recall campaign comes to assure immediate stop of using the product, and return it temporarily to the vendor, stressing that it will follow up on the withdrawal of all the quantities subjected to contamination from all selling ports across the country.

The Ministry said that it will coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the recall campaign and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary actions are carried out.
