The Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani arrived in the Chinese capital, Beijing, this afternoon, at the invitation of President Xi Jinping, President of the friendly People's Republic of China, to attend the opening of the twenty-fourth Winter Olympics, which will be held later today in Beijing.
Upon his arrival at Beijing International Airport, His Highness and the accompanying delegation were received by Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Deng Li, Qatar's Ambassador to China Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Duhaimi and members of the Qatari embassy.
His Highness the Amir is accompanied by an official delegation.
