Free COVID-19 PCR tests in health centres: MoPH

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that it is offering free COVID-19 PCR tests across all 28 Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) health centres in the country. In a tweet, the Ministry said: “People with signs and symptoms of COVID-19 are advised to go directly to any of these health centres for testing, free of charge, and avoid contact with other people until the test result is confirmed.”

Moreover, MoPH is also conducting a drive-through PCR services daily at 14 health centres. This is from 4pm to 10pm.

The said health centres include Al Wakra, Al Thumama, Airport, West Bay, Abu Baker, Mesaimeer, Al Waab, Al Rayyan, Al Wajbah, Umm Slal, Ghrafat Al Rayan, Qatar University, Leabaib, and Al Khor. Meanwhile, PCR tests for travel purposes are charged at QR160 per test in all health centres.
