Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) held Thursday the award ceremony of the third Student Awareness Competition Talks (SACT), in collaboration with the US embassy in Doha.

The winners and participants in the public speaking contest were honored in a ceremony attended by HE MoEHE's Undersecretary Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, MoEHE's Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Maha Zayed Al Qaqaa Al Ruwaili and HE US Ambassador in Doha Timmy Davis.

Al Ruwaili hailed the importance of the strong partnership between the MoEHE and the US Embassy, which contributed to supporting many successful educational programs between the two sides.

This year's edition addressed the theme of embracing change for Qatar 2030 through sub-themes that included community engagement, building inclusive communities for people with disabilities, and digital advocacy.

Al Ruwaili added the competition was an important opportunity to develop public speaking skills and enhance students' self-confidence. It also aims to motivate them to think critically and creatively, develop their skills and prepare them for the next stage of their academic and professional lives.
