Strong wind and cold conditions in Qatar during weekend: QMD

Doha: On its weather forecast for the weekend, Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) warned of strong wind and high sea at some places. Weather conditions will also be cold with some clouds and blowing dust. 

The minimum and maximum temperature this weekend will range from 12 degrees Celsius to 21 degrees Celsius. 

The wind will mainly blow northwesterly at 18-28 KT, gusting to 35 KT on Friday inshore and 20-32 KT gusting to 42 KT offshore. On the following day, the wind will blow in the same direction at 8-18 KT reaching 24 KT inshore, gusting to 35 KT offshore. 

On Friday, sea heights will range between 3-6 ft inshore reaching to 10 ft and 15 ft offshore. On Saturday, it will vary from 2-5 ft reaching to 8 ft inshore and rising to 12 ft offshore.

During the weekend, the visibility will mainly vary between 4-8 kilometres /2-3 kilometres or less than that at some places at times.
