Doha, Qatar: Design Doha, a biennial dedicated to advancing the design culture of the MENA region and showcasing Qatar’s dynamic design landscape on the global stage, is proud to announce the return of Marchitecture.
Taking place until March 25, 2025, this curated programme invites the public to experience guided tours every Saturday and Tuesday throughout the month, along with film screenings and networking events, offering a unique opportunity to explore Qatar’s cultural heritage and contemporary design scene.
Under the theme “Qatar’s Cultural Treasures,” Marchitecture 2025 highlights two decades of Qatar Museums’ efforts to preserve the nation’s heritage, share its stories and foster creative innovation. The programme showcases Qatar Museums’ diverse contributions to culture and creativity, spanning museums, heritage sites, public art installations, and creative incubators and collections. Marchitecture offers a unique opportunity to explore milestones and achievements that have shaped Qatar’s cultural landscape, reflecting a deep commitment to heritage, storytelling, and innovation.
The programme includes guided tours of iconic heritage buildings and contemporary creative spaces, alongside special film screenings that explore Qatar Museums’ cultural and historical contributions. Evening Iftar and late-night dinner gatherings will also be held at select venues, offering a chance to connect with the design community in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere, all while blending cultural exploration with Ramadan traditions.
