Doha: A memorandum of understanding was signed on Wednesday, January 19, 2021, between the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and the Jordanian University of Mutah to strengthen cooperation between the two sides in scientific research and areas of common interest. This MoU will consolidate academic ties and allow exchanging knowledge and experience between faculty members and students in both institutions.
The MoU, which was signed on behalf of DI by the Acting President, Dr. Abdul-Wahab Al-Affandi, and on behalf of Mutah University, by its president, Dr. Arafat Atwi Awajan, paves the way for the development of a set of activities for the mutual benefit of both institutions, such as collaborative research projects and studies, joint contributions to academic and scientific publications, the exchange of visiting faculty members, conducting research, holding seminars, workshops and conferences on topics of common interest, in addition to exchanging scientific research papers and academic theses according to the policies followed in each institution.
The MoU, which was signed at DI’s headquarters in the State of Qatar, also included provisions for cooperation in the field of scholarships, training courses, encouraging student delegations' visits and their exchange in various academic fields, in addition to encouraging faculty members to publish their research in refereed scientific journals in both institutions.
