Doha: There are chances of light rain in some parts of the country during the weekend. Despite the rain hot conditions are expected to continue with temperature in the late thirties and early forties.
According to the weather report by the Qatar Meteorology Department the flow of clouds are expected to start from Thursday evening (May 11, 2017) with chance of light and scattered rain on Friday and Saturday. This could form some local thunder clouds sometimes.
Hot weather continues in the country with slight dust during the day and the winds inshore during this period are mostly Northwesterly-Northeasterly ranging from 5-15 kt reaches 18 kt at times by midday.
Temperatures will range between late thirties to early forties in different regions and this is around the average for May.
No marine warnings are expected and sea is suitable for activities, wave height expected to range between 2-4 / 5 feet sometimes with a relative activity of wind reaches 18 kt sometimes.
Meanwhile, many places in UAE and Oman reported moderate to heavy rains today.
Rain and hail hit different parts of the northern UAE, including Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah on Thursday afternoon.
