Aspire Zone Foundation starts Ramadan Sports Festival activities

Doha: Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) started its first activities within Ramadan Sports Festival agenda last Wednesday, which included eight different sports events for fans from all members of community.

Ramadan Sports Festival opened with the first-ever men’s beach volleyball tournament on the Aspire Sand pitch at Aspire Park and the women’s basketball and women’s volleyball at the Ladies Sport Hall. AZF facilities at Aspire Park, The Dome and the Ladies Sport Hall are hosting the eight-team competitions. 

Being held from April 6 until 17 from 9.30pm to 12am, the events include Beach Volleyball Competition for men from April 6-10 at Aspire Sand pitch; Football Competition for Men from April 9–13 at warm up track; Basketball Competition for Men from April 12-17 at Aspire Dome, Multipurpose Hall.

Other events are Football 4x4 Competition for men from April 13 -17 at Aspire football Public courts, Ladies competitions in cooperation with Sports Lab Academy; Basketball Competition for women from April 6-14 at Ladies sport hall; Volleyball Competition for women from April 6-12 at Ladies sport hall and Football Competition for women from April 9-14 at Ladies sport hall.

Special Needs competition in cooperation with Qatar Paralympic Committee features Special Needs Table Tennis Competition on April 11 at Aspire Dome, Multipurpose Hall 1.
