Doha: Ambassador of Kuwait to Qatar, H E Hafiz Mohammed Al Ajmi, has lauded Qatar for organising the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 successfully.
“I would like to express my pride in the successful organisation of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 by our sisterly country, Qatar,” Al Ajmi said in a statement.
He said the wonderful organisation of the tournament is a source of pride for the State of Kuwait and reflects the ability of GCC and Arab countries to host and organise mega events.
He said the Representative of Amir H H Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence H E Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al Ali Al Sabah represented Kuwait in the opening ceremony of the tournament, besides the heads of states and heads of delegations of the sisterly Arab countries.
He said Doha’s hosting of the championship also reflects the keenness of Qatar to implement its vision under the leadership of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and His Highness’ ambitious vision that makes Qatar a global sports destination.
“The organisation revealed the enormous Qatari capabilities, which give just a glimpse of what it can do (at) FIFA Wrold Cup Qatar 2022.
“It gives me great pleasure to extend my sincere congratulations to the brotherly State of Qatar, H H the Amir, the government and the people for the impressive opening, in front of about 60,000 spectators who filled the stadium’s stands.”
He said that most advanced technology was used that dazzled everyone and brought joy to the heart of every Arab, displaying Arab creativity on the land of Qatar.”
