Doha: The Deputy Amir HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Qatar University (QU), chaired the second meeting of the QU Board of Trustees for the academic year (2021-2022), which was held at the Amiri Diwan Sunday morning.
At the outset of the meeting, the board reviewed what has been implemented of its decisions and recommendations taken during the first meeting of the academic year 2021-2022. It also discussed the topics on its agenda and took appropriate decisions, including the approval of the establishment of a doctoral program in education, in addition to the restructuring of the doctoral and master's programs in the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies.
The board also approved the executive plan for the health and medical sciences sector strategy and the restructuring of competitive scholarships at Qatar University.
