Doha, Qatar: LuLu Hypermarket Qatar, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), has launched the ‘National Product Week’ campaign under the slogan ‘From Us, For Us.’ Taking place across all LuLu stores in Qatar, this event aims to support Qatari products.

The National Product Week was officially inaugurated by the Assistant Undersecretary for Industrial Affairs and Business Development at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), H E Saleh bin Majid Al Khulaifi, alongside Dr. Mohamed Althaf, Director of Lulu Group, distinguished Qatari guests, ministry officials from MoCI, and senior Lulu management in attendance.

The week-long festival, running until March 1, shines a spotlight on Qatar’s finest food and non-food products, celebrating the nation’s rich cultural heritage and traditions. The event is designed to create a thriving environment for local businesses, fostering collaboration and sustainability.

A diverse range of Qatari-produced goods will be available, including fresh vegetables, herbs, chicken, eggs, Arabic lamb, dairy, frozen foods, delicatessen and bakery items, assorted groceries, health and beauty products, among others.

Al Khulaifi stated, “I am very happy that Lulu has organized National Product Week. I am happy for all the retailers participating in this promotion. It is great to see more than 500 local products being white labelled by Lulu; it is a great initiative.

“Similarly, we are happy for all the hypermarkets displaying national products, and we are very proud of the products bearing the ‘Made in Qatar’ trademark.

“As we approach Ramadan, we anticipate a significant increase in consumption, especially of Qatari products, which makes us very proud. We are glad to see healthy competition, and the quality of these products is world-class.”

Dr. Althaf added, “We have been organizing National Product Week for many years. While we usually hold it in December, this year we decided to organize it in February.

“Holding the National Product Week promotion this month is timely because of Ramadan, as Ramadan shopping will start soon. Additionally, we have extended this promotion to run for two months.”  Lulu Hypermarket also showcases 300 products under its private label, produced in Qatar, further emphasising its commitment to supporting local industries.  Through this campaign, Lulu continues to promote high-quality local products, ensuring greater visibility and accessibility for consumers.

As part of this campaign, Lulu Hypermarket has also launched the Shop & Win campaign. From February 23 to March 24, 2025, shoppers who purchase any Qatari product worth QR25 or more from the supermarket section will receive an e-raffle coupon, giving them a chance to win Lulu gift vouchers worth a total of QR100,000.
