20th Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition features over 500 brands

Doha, Qatar: The upcoming 20th edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE), scheduled from February 5 to 11, will feature the participation of over 500 brands from 10 countries globally. Qatar Tourism Chairman, H E Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, shared details at a press conference yesterday at Raffles Doha, expressing gratitude to partners for the event’s success over the years.

“The 20th edition of DJWE will witness the participation of more than 500 brands, participating from 10 countries around the world. I would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation to the partners of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition – the reason behind its development and success over the last years.”

Set at the 30,000sqm Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), this edition introduces the Indian and Turkish pavilions, along with 10 exhibitors under the Qatari Designers Pavilion. Noteworthy additions include Key Gems, AlMajid Home, Renee Jewels, Naylah, Kooheji Jewellery, and Hessa Jewels, a brand initiated by Qatari Designer Hessa as part of the Qatari designers initiative, the Chairman explained.

Qatar National Bank (QNB) Group Chief Business Officer, Yousef Mahmoud Al Neama, stressed their role as the official sponsor, highlighting their commitment to supporting local and international events in the tourism sector. 

“The Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition serves as a unique platform, bringing together creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation, elements that resonate deeply with our core values at QNB.”

Qatar Tourism Chief of Marketing and Promotion Officer, Engr Abdulaziz Ali Al Mawlawi, meanwhile acknowledged the significance of the exhibition’s 20-year milestone. “This is a remarkable milestone for the exhibition – 20 years is a testament of the success and popularity of this exhibition, we would like to acknowledge our partners at Qatar National Bank, and Qatar Business Events Corporation.”

The event offers more than just a display of jewellery and watches, featuring workshops with experts in the field. Moreover, Supermodel Irina Shayk and sports icon Thierry Henry are the faces of this year’s campaign, alongside the return of Qatar Tourism’s Qatari Designers initiative.

The “Big 8” participants for this year include AlFardan Jewellery, Al Majed Jewellery, Ali Bin Ali Luxury, Amiri Gems, Fifty One East, Al Muftah Jewellery, Blue Salon, and Bulgari. Special debuts at DJWE 2024 include Tiffany& Co.’s 2024 Bird on a Pearl and Bulgari’s ‘High Jewellery’ necklace. AlMajed Jewellery and Blue Salon introduce new ‘Qatar Limited Edition’ watches and jewellery brands.

Special pieces debuting for DJWE 2024 are Tiffany& Co. 2024 Bird on a Pearl, bespoke piece the ‘High Jewellery’ necklace from Bulgari. Phillips, a global platform for buying and selling art and design, will also be present, known for holding the world record for the most successful watch auctions. Also, Education Above All returns for this year’s edition, collaborating with Brazilian jeweller Silvia Furmanovich and Qatari Designers.

The free-entry event will open daily from 12pm to 10pm, except Fridays, from 3pm to 11pm.
