Doha: The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar (CNA-Q) organised an appreciation ceremony for workers and contractors’ staff delivering their services under facilities management. This event recognised the continuous efforts that these workers deploy throughout the year to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the College.

Present at the ceremony were Dr. Salem Al Naemi, CNA-Q’s President; Biju Koshy, CNA-Q’s Facilities Manager; members of CNA-Q management and more than 350 skilled workers.

Commenting on the event, Dr. Salem Al Naemi said: “We organise this event on a yearly basis in appreciation of the people who work behind the scenes to improve our campus life and make the College a great place for students, faculty, and staff. CNA-Q nurtures a culture that values inclusivity, diversity, support, and respect to every member of its community. For this purpose, we strive to recognise and reward the valuable contributions, not only of our team members, but also of the staff of the companies contracted by the College.”

Biju Koshy said: “Skilled workers are the foundation of any successful institution, specifically facilities workers who operate 24/7 and need to stay alert for any problem or malfunction that may arise. This ceremony was a breath of fresh air for them, it was an opportunity to take a break from their daily responsibilities, get together, socialize and enjoy the celebration.”

During the ceremony, high-performing workers were awarded for their excellent job. This occasion was an opportunity to reveal some hidden talents among the workers. For instance, the official host of the ceremony was a talented lady from the security team, and the event saw performances by talented workers and talents from CNA-Q. The ceremony concluded with a raffle draw comprising many attractive prizes and a dinner reception.

With over 20 years of experience in Qatar, CNA-Q offers high-quality programs led by qualified instructors in more than 70 technology-rich classrooms and more than 150 workshops, laboratories, and simulated environments.

CNA-Q boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including male and female fitness rooms, swimming pools, sport and wellness centres, cafeterias, tennis and padel courts, football fields, beach volleyball court, and student lounges. The College has transformed Qatar’s education and work landscape, distinguishing itself as a destination in the state for technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and a source of top-notch talent.
