GAZA:  The chief negotiator of Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Saeb Erekat, on Monday raised the issue of new illegal Israeli settlements and its policy of occupying Palestinian lands during his meeting with Norway's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Borge Brende, reports QNA.

Erekat met with the Norwegian minister and his accompanying delegation in the city of Jericho today.

"The Israeli government continues to impose its policy of settlements, particularly occupied East Jerusalem and their attempts to divide Al Aqsa Mosque besides demolish Palestinian houses, confiscating lands and escalating violence that has destroyed the peace process and the two-station option," Erekat told the minister.

The Israeli government bears full responsibility for the consequences of these policies and their illegal actions, he added.
