Qatar social media is abuzz with news of test run by Doha metro train.
Some Twitter and Instagram users have posted a short video of a metro train running a short distance and it is going viral with all users expressing their happiness about seeing the metro in action.
It is not clear when or where the video was taken.
The work of metro is progressing at a fast pace and first four trains of Doha Metro, out of a total 75, arrived at Hamad Port last month end from Kobe port in Japan.
Doha Metro will be one of the fastest driverless trains in the world and will be the fastest in the region. It is capable of reaching 100kmph.
Qatar Rail had said then that the first group of trains came two months ahead of schedule and they are kept at the Al Wakra Depot.

At a workshop in July, Qatar Rail’s Managing Director & CEO, Eng Abdulla Al Subaie, had said that the railway systems installation is on progress and the first trains will be tested on the test section of the Red Line before end of this year.
