Doha: The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has called upon Muslims in Qatar to sight the new crescent (hilal) of the blessed month of Ramadan on Tuesday evening, Sha'ban 29, 1444 AH according to the Qatari calendar, corresponding to March 21, 2023.
The Committee asks whoever witnesses the crescent to head to the headquarters of the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, located in Al Dafna (Towers) to report his testimony. The Committee will meet immediately after Maghreb prayer.
