The two-week long sporting event organised by Qatar Indian Social Forum in accordance with Qatar’s National Sports Day and the Azadi Ka Mahotsav (India’s commemoration of 75 years of independence) celebrations concluded  with an array of sports contests at the Al Jazeera Academy. 

The meet, rebranded from this year as the Mohammed Sabih Bukhari Memorial Cup, saw various sporting teams contesting across games. Sofia Bukhari and Saima Sabih Bukhari received the salutes at the march past in the morning session which was presided by Ayyub Ullal, President of the social forum. 

VOLIQ Doha, Hasanasco-A, SAK Qatar, Social Forum Karnataka and Social Forum Wakrah emerged winners in volleyball, kabaddi, tug of war, football and march past respectively.

 The evening session which was inaugurated by Suman Sonkar, First-Secretary, Embassy of India, saw felicitations for the winners. Various community leaders and dignitaries including Dr. C K Abdulla (Qatar Indian Social Forum), Ayyub Ullal (President, Qatar Indian Social Forum), Dr. Sayyid Jafri (President, AMU Alumni Qatar), Afroz Ahmad Dawar (Chairman, IABJ), Sajjad Aalam (President, IABJ), Fayas Ahmad (President, KMCA), Mashood Thiruthiyad (General Convener, PCC Qatar), Abdulla Moinu (Hidaya Foundation), Sakeena Razaq (Vise-President Women's Fraternity), Mumthaz Husain (M D Benchmark Trading), Shanib (Operation Manager, City Exchange, Shameer (General Manager, Agbis), Nishas (Becon) attended the closing ceremony. Saeed Kommachi, General-Secretary, Qatar Indian Social Forum, proposed the vote of thanks.
