Doha: Qatar is expected to witness unsettled weather conditions on intermittent periods from Wednesday, March 18, until the beginning of next week, said the Qatar Meteorology Department in its report.
There will be increased cloud amount gradually with a chance of scattered rain that may become thundery at times accompanied with strong wind causing blowing dust and low visibility in some areas.
The rain during this period is known for fast thunderstorm formations during a short period of time over a limited area usually at evening and night time.
The prevailing wind during this period will be Northeasterly to Southeasterly moderate to fresh becoming strong at times especially during expected thunderstorms causing wave height to rise to more than 8 FT.
Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 27-32°C and minimums between 18-23°C in different regions.
The department asked residents to be careful, avoid going to sea due to unsettled weather conditions and to follow latest updates through its official social media accounts.
