“Goals4Good” tournament to have 36 Schools in Qatar compete in various tournaments to support Education Above All projects

The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation and its partners will organize a Ramadan ‘Goals4Good tournament consisting of a football and art competition to support selected EAA Foundation projects aiming to help the world’s most vulnerable and marginalized children. Thirty-six 36 schools in Qatar will participate in the tournament as a part of the “Goals4Good” Ramadan 2023 Campaign on March 10.                                              

The event will take place at Doha College, starting at 12pm Doha time, and is expected to last until 8pm. Each football matches during the day culminated in a quarter, semi-final, and final tournament.

The schools will compete in three age categories in football (10-12, 13-15, and 16-18 years of age) for both boys and girls. Teams will be divided into groups and the ultimate winner in each group will play in knockoff stages until they reach the final. The winning team will receive a trophy and certificates of appreciation, as well as medals and prizes for Best Player, Best Goal and Best Goalkeeper.

As well as football, the winners of an art competition with the theme “The Classroom of Tomorrow” will be announced on March 10. Those who want to take part can use any form of artwork to express that theme, the entries will be judged primarily on how well the theme is expressed, as well as colour, neatness, and creativity, The competitors will be divided into two categories (Juniors from 9 to 13 years) and (Seniors from 14 to 18 years). Schools have to submit the art work for entry into the competition by February 28.

There will also be a showcase section for children with different abilities during the “Goals4Good” tournament and several motivational speeches for students during the tournament.

The event will also have a fun aspect of Carnival Small games that the whole family can play and enjoy themselves which volunteers will provide from different companies.
