Amman: Qatar is participating in the 38th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction and the fourth session of the Arab Ministerial Forum on Housing and Urban Development, which started today in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
The delegation of the State of Qatar in the two sessions is headed by H E Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Minister of Social Development and Family.
The participants in the work of the two three-day sessions will discuss a number of topics that contribute to strengthening joint Arab cooperation in the housing and urban development sector, developing cooperation with regional and international organizations, including the United Nations Human Settlements Program, as well as following up on the implementation of the 2030 sustainable development plan in harmony. With the executive plan of the Arab strategy, in addition to reviewing studies related to the rehabilitation of cities affected by conflicts, natural disasters, and the Palestinian territories under occupation.
The agenda also includes other items, including the support provided to some member states, housing and reconstruction legislation, the celebration of the Arab Housing Day, the Arab Housing and Construction Award, and the adoption of an electronic database and information.
