Doha: Ambassador of Palestine H E Munir Abdullah Ghannam praised the strong fraternal relations between the Qatari and Palestinian peoples, stressing that these relations are constantly improving in various fields of joint cooperation and are receiving the attention and care of the wise leaderships of the two countries.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Ambassador noted the success of Qatar in facing the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting its ability to recover from its effects in an impressive manner, as it was able to succeed at a time when the pandemic posed a huge economic challenge to most countries of the world.
On the occasion of the countrys National Day, he congratulated H H the Amir and the government and people of Qatar on this precious occasion, calling on the Almighty to keep Qatar and its people safe and secure and that it continue its path towards further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. He pointed out that Qatar’s celebrations of its National Day coincide this year with its hosting of the FIFA Arab Cup 2021. This important sporting event constitutes a very successful rehearsal in preparation for the largest sporting event, the FIFA World Cup 2022, he stated.
He also stressed that this great sporting event is a pride for Qatar and Arab nations as a whole, adding that the tournament is expected to be a dazzling event because of Qatar's outstanding capabilities in organisation and preparation to impress the world at all levels.
