Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has organised a training workshop entitled ‘Active Educational Supervision Program’, presented by Dr. Misfer Nasser Al Qahtani, who is a specialised trainer in teaching and creative training.
The workshop, which was organized by the Early Years Department at the Ministry, intended to introduce the concept of active educational supervision to the trainees as one of the highly important pillars underpinning the educational institutions, in addition to determining the techniques and approaches of active supervision.
The event was also intended to increase the trainees’ knowledge about the most vital skills of this program through getting them familiarized with the education and learning techniques with the explanation of creative teaching strategies, in addition to familiarizing the trainees with the types of teachers and ways of communicating with them, including the means of raising the teacher’s motivation in self-education.
Dr. Al Qahtani reviewed the scientific studies related to active educational supervision, which confirm that it is one of the most critically successful teaching strategies, including good recitation, opening the door to discussion with students by receiving questions, and answering them, as well as cooperative education.
