DOHA: Qatar is ready to host ‘Match For Hope 2025’ on February 14 at 974 Stadium, announced the director of the initiative during a press conference yesterday.

Briefing the media, Qassim Abdul Latif Al Jaidah highlighted that the second edition of the charity initiative, organised in partnership with the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) and the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, will showcase football legends such as Thierry Henry, Andres Iniesta, David Silva, Alessandro Del Piero, Mubarak Mustafa, and Andrea Pirlo.

Al Jaidah pointed out that the funds raised from the match would support education projects in several countries, including Lebanon, Palestine, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Syria.

He noted that it’s a unified effort to raise funds for vital education for children and young people who are most in need, especially in areas impacted by conflict, disasters, or poverty.

This edition will feature Team KSI and AboFlah, managed by Arsene Wenger, facing off against Team Chunkz and IShowSpeed, led by Argentine Mauricio Pochettino. Alongside these football legends, some of the world’s top content creators will also take part, including KSI, IShowSpeed, Chunkz, AboFlah, Sharky, Miniminter, and others. Officials stated that fans will have access to a wide range of activities throughout the week, starting on Tuesday.

Match For Hope 2025 will also feature a special live podcast and show zone, where fans can watch some of their favorite influencers in Qatar, including the Thirty Challenge with Musaed Alfouzan, the Areeka podcast with Bibi Alabdulmohsen and Talal Sam, SDS with Sharky, and GOAL’s Front Three.

The inaugural Match for Hope held last year at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, took place in February 2024, drawing more than 34,000 spectators to the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Qatar. It raised over $8.8m (QR32.04m) for Education Above All, helping support more than 70,000 children who had limited access to school across countries including Palestine, Sudan, Mali, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Pakistan.
