Putrajaya: Prime Minister of Malaysia H E Ismail Sabri Yaqoub met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani at the Malaysian government headquarters in Putrajaya yesterday.
During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation and relations between the two countries, especially Qatari investments in Malaysia, food security and cooperation in the field of education.
The latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories were also discussed, in addition to reviewing developments in Ukraine and the Rohingya refugee crisis, as well as a number of international issues.
In this context, the Malaysian Prime Minister expressed his country’s thanks to Qatar for its support for the Rohingya refugees in the health field, while the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar’s appreciation for Malaysia’s pivotal efforts in providing assistance to them.
