Beirut: Lebanese Parliament Speaker H E Nabih Berri met yesterday in Beirut with Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of the Quint Committee on Lebanon.
The ambassadors of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United States, and France extended their congratulations to Berri on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan and on the new government’s winning of the parliament’s confidence.
The meeting agenda included the latest developments in southern Lebanon and the necessity of a complete Israeli withdrawal from it, along with the follow up on the five-nation group’s efforts to assist Lebanon in this regard.
Meanwhile, H E Berri expressed his appreciation for the Quint Committee’s support for his country.
