Doha, Qatar: Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has been the target of a 'massive cyberattack' as the outage continues to persist globally on Monday.
This was confirmed by Elon Musk, the platform's owner, according to an AFP breaking news report.
X has been experiencing outages around the globe on Monday, March 10, with the connection remaining patchy throughout the day.
"Something went wrong. Try reloading" was the prompt most users were given when attempting to access the website. In Doha, the outage has been reported from 1pm local time with attempts to reload and visit the website ended in failure.
Real-time problem and outage monitoring website, Downdetector, has received over 30,000 reports since the afternoon regarding the outage. The most reported problems were in the 'X' application, website, and server connection.
