Doha: In line with its belief in the power of broadcasting to inspire the next generation of athletes and fans to participate in sport regardless of gender, race or background – beIN SPORTS, the leading global sports channel broadcasted yesterday a special programme highlighting beIN’s partnership with Generation Amazing and the importance of both initiatives in the growth of women’s sports.
The beINSPIRED special programme, which was presented by beIN’s Nicky Crosby on beIN SPORTS HD11 hosted England and Juventus forward Lianne Sanderson, FIFA World Cup 2022 Generation Amazing coach Gloria Kwalme, International Programs Manager of Generation Amazing Isabel Gultresa as well as an appearance from PSG’s Nadia Nadim. The Generation Amazing team invited beIN SPORTS’ star guest Lianne Sanderson to the Legacy Pavilion. Later she participated in an unforgettable coaching session at the Khalifa International Stadium – one of the 2022 FIFA World Cup stadiums.
The collaboration is another step in realising the importance of the beINSPIRED global initiative to encourage women across the world to play more sport through which beIN will provide a global platform to events and talent that haven’t, historically, been given the exposure they deserve. The FIFA Women’s World Cup – which beIN recently distributed across more countries than any other global broadcaster – was the first beINSPIRED tournament aired on beIN SPORTS.
The special show, broadcasted on July 6, discussed several topics including the importance of role models, family support and the health benefits of sports.
