Doha: Qatar University has announced that today (Tuesday) will be the last deadline for the submission of electronic applications of the students who are willing to admit to the university for the fall semester 2022.

The university clarified that the new and transferred students from other universities, including second bachelor’s degree students who are willing to admit to Qatar University can apply online through the official website www.qu.edu.qa/apply, until the end of tomorrow, Tuesday, Jun. 7, 2022.

The university had opened the door for admissions and receipt of electronic applications for undergraduate students on the 27th of last March.

According to Qatar University’s academic calendar, the admission decisions will be announced on July 25, and students can follow up on the status of their admission application by visiting the online enrollment application page.

Director of the Admissions Department at Qatar University, Lulwa Al Rubaie indicated that the minimum percentage for admission to colleges is 70 percent for colleges of arts and sciences, College of engineering, management and economics, law, College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, education, health sciences, and College of Nursing, while the required percentage for colleges of medicine and Dental Medicine is 85 percent, and 80 percent for the College of Pharmacy.

She confirmed that admission to Qatar university depends on the principle of competitiveness between the applicants, pointing out that achieving the minimum requirements for studying in the secondary certificate does not mean that the student is accepted on the first willingness, but students are accepted according to the absorptive capacity of each college separately. She added that the secondary education path will also be taken into account when applying to university.

Lulwa Al Rubaie called on all students to visit the university’s website and get familiarized with the academic programs it offers, in addition to how to fill out the electronic application, and attach the required documents, prior to the deadline for submission.
