World of Football Exhibition at 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum

As Qatar is set to make history as the first Arab country to host the FIFA World Cup, a special 'World of Football' exhibition showcasing the origins of football and the tournament's history is on display on the 7th floor of the sports museum.

See the jerseys worn by some of the football legends, including the jersey worn by "the greatest player of all time" Argentine Diego Maradona, a football used in the finals of the first World Cup tournament in 1930, the first written account of the rules of football, and other game memorabilia celebrating moments of the past up to Qatar’s successful bid to welcome the world and the plans for the future. Singing Sand Dunes Cleanup drive

Thinking of how you can help keep Qatar clean? Be a volunteer with the Doha Environmental Actions Project (DEAP)! This weekend, DEAP Qatar's fight against plastic pollution continues as they head to the Singing Sand Dunes for other hours of cleanup activity.

Send them a direct message on their Instagram account if "you're 100% certain you are coming", and you'll receive a confirmation message of your participation, including the exact cleanup location. It's going to be a fruitful and fulfilling weekend!

2-day fun-filled activities at Baladna Park

One of Qatar's favourite outdoor destinations has again welcomed the public on September 1, 2022, and this weekend, as part of its new season offerings, Baladna Park will dedicate two days of fun-filled activities for the whole family!

Flag Plaza at the Corniche
Go and visit the newly-inaugurated Flag Plaza located near the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Park. Opened yesterday, October 4, 2022, this new community gathering space will be a venue for festivals, celebrations, and other events for the people of Qatar. Take a selfie and show to your family and friends around the world the 119 flags representing nations with diplomatic missions in Qatar, as well as the UN, EU, and GCC flags.

Curator Tour - Majaz: Contemporary Art Qatar

Join the curators of Majaz: Contemporary Art Qatar, Saida Alkhulaifi and Amal Zeyad Ali, for a special tour of the exhibition exploring the stories behind more than 75 artworks created by 35 local and regional artists. Botanical Art Exhibition at Heenat Salma Eco-farm

'90 Minutes' Photography Exhibition

The exhibition by Qatari photographer Jassim Ahmed Al Buainain is a showcase of major sports events and tournaments in Qatar for the past 10 years. The title '90 Minutes' was inspired by the timing of the football game, and Al Buainain also made sure to display 90 striking images to match the title. Catch the exhibition until Friday and see how it highlights the aesthetics of photography and arts through sports, and how Qatar gears up for the World Cup!

A Rubaiyat Qatar exhibition brings you Singaporean contemporary artist and filmmaker Ho Tzu Nyen's last piece of a series of artworks dealing with tigers in Southeast Asia. The exhibition features artifacts relating to the legend of Tipu Sultan, the Tiger of Mysore, who is one of the most famous and polarizing figures in South Asian history. You'll find a cannon, a contemporary multichannel video installation, eighteenth-century paintings, and contemporary comic books, exploring the creative potential of art and media as a means of storytelling, and history as the product of both fact and fiction.
