Boston: Utah Jazz free agent Gordon Hayward will sign a four-year deal worth $128m maximum contract with the Boston Celtics.
Hayward visited the Miami Heat and Boston and met with the Jazz before finalizing an agreement with the Celtics. Hayward was an all-star this past season, averaging 21.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
He spent his first seven NBA seasons with the Jazz, elevating the franchise to a Western Conference contender in 2016-17. He will join forces with All-star point guard Isiah Thomas and all-star power forward Al Horford in the hope of mounting an assault on a championship next season.
