The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani has said that the situation in Afghanistan requires cooperation of the international community.
Speaking in Rome MED 2021 - Mediterranean Dialogues, he stated that “I believe that Russia and China will have a role in the reconstruction and support of the Afghans,”.
He also said that “we are working with Turkey regarding the rehabilitation of the airport in Afghanistan.”
The Middle East region cannot be ignored because it is important for the stability of the world, and I do not think there is a decline in the interest of our allies in the region, Foreign affirmed.
He also noted that Russia, China and the countries of the region have legitimate concerns about any tension that may arise in Afghanistan as a result of the current situation.
He also added that “we cannot solve a problem by boycotting each other.”
Foreign Minister called for talks involving everyone concerned to solve all the issues.
