Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict Resolution, H E Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani, participated in the meeting of political directors in the International Coalition Against Islamic State (IS), which was held in the Belgian capital, Brussels.
During the meeting, discussions and evaluation of the coalition’s ongoing efforts in Iraq and Syria, the new challenges it faces, and ways to overcome them were held.
The meeting also touched on the situation in Afghanistan and the importance of combating ISIS-Khorasan, and means to achieve this. The meeting stressed the importance of continuing the commitment of the international coalition to defeating ISIS completely and radically.
