Doha: Qatar residents and citizens mark this year's Eid Al Fitr celebrations with families and loved ones in the traditional way without any Covid-19 restrictions.
The day began with Eid Al Fitr prayers at various locations across Doha. As many as 520 mosques and prayer grounds across the country held the Eid Al Fitr congregation
Children and adults were seen at the prayer grounds rejoicing and wishing each other on the joyous occassion.
One of the residents in Doha Mohammad Sultan said that with the Covid-19 restrictions relaxed it is a joyous occassion for all the friends and families to come together. "For the last two years, we had not invited friends to our celebrations which is not the case this year. The Eid celebration is always incomplete without our loved ones. Of course we are still cautious and maintain precautions when we head out but then at home it is much relaxed compared to last two years," he said.
