Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has announced the continuation of its annual Ramadan food baskets project, aimed at supporting needy families during the holy month.
Speaking at a press conference, Director General of the General Administration of Endowments at Awqaf, Eng. Hassan Abdullah Al Marzouqi emphasized that distributing Ramadan food baskets is a source of pride for the ministry, as it embodies the values of solidarity and generosity during this sacred time.
He noted that the baskets contain a variety of essential food items, helping families meet their nutritional needs for both Iftar and Suhoor. The initiative plays a crucial role in easing financial burdens on disadvantaged households, ensuring they can observe Ramadan with greater comfort and dignity.
