Doha: After the illegal blockade by the four Arab states began four months back, residents in Qatar has come together to show their support to the country and the leadership through various means.
The iconic image of the Emir, Tamim Al Majd, captured the mind and hearts of one and all and these portraits were displayed all around Qatar and people wrote slogans and showcased their solidarity with the leadership.
Many citizens and expatriates also took this portrait to different places in the world and also to the bottom of the sea.
One more such show of solidarity has been reported from the highest motorable all-weather road in the world.
Muhammed Shameem O K , a 31-year-old Indian expatriate, working in Hamad Medical Corporation as a staff nurse has showcased his solidarity to Qatar by displaying the Tamim Al Majd portrait at Khardung La pass, the highest motorable mountain pass in the world, in Jammu Kashmir state of India at subzero temperature.
He was there as part of a motorbike expedition group while on holidays and he was seen wearing a t-shirt with the iconic image printed on it and also with a banner showing Qatar and Indian flags with Emir’s portrait on it .
The elevation of Khardung La is 5,359 m (17,582 ft) and it is the world's highest motorable pass.
