Doha, Qatar: United School International officially opened in The Pearl-Qatar in a ceremony held recently. Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Omar Al Nama inaugurated the school. The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Faisal bin Fahad bin Jassim Al Thani, Vice Chairman of United Development Company and Chairman of the Board of United School International; Kevin McNeany, Chairman of Orbital Education and Vice Chairman of United School International, and Razan Osman, Education Sector Lead in the Department of Business and Trade, British Embassy.
Sheikh Faisal said: “Opening United School International is a major milestone for United Development Company and is part of its commitment to providing residents of The Pearl-Qatar with a completely integrated living community. No doubt, the opening of this school would not have happened without the full support of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, for which we are extremely thankful.”
McNeany said: “It gives me immense pleasure to celebrate the official opening of this remarkable school. We can proudly say that our partnership with United Development Company has delivered a thriving community of students, families, teachers and leaders and we look forward to continuing to work together to inspire, empower and educate our students.”
United School International is a partnership between United Development Company and UK-based Orbital Education.
The school first opened its doors to students in August 20222, and is currently home to 700 students, studying an enhanced British curriculum as part of an outstanding international education, in a state-of-the-art campus with a capacity of over 2,000 students.
