Doha, Qatar: Great Place To Work, yesterday announced this year’s Best Workplaces in the Asian region, which witnessed several companies in the GCC excelling on the list.

Among these, Qatari organisations including Al Mana Interiors, Shift Group, Lesha Bank, Aspire Academy, GAC – Qatar, UM Qatar, and McDonald’s Qatar by Al Mana Restaurants and Food Co W.L.L. were named.

Speaking exclusively to The Peninsula, Jules Youssef, Managing Director for Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain, Great Place to Work Middle East, said: “This achievement is a result of employee feedback and highlights the commitment that Qatar has made towards investing in their employees and workplace culture.”

However, the results were announced after conducting confidential survey data, which received over two million individual responses representing the experiences of 5.9 million employees from across the region.

The official noted that the number of Qatari-owned firms surged rapidly, making it to the Best Workplaces list over the years.

“This commitment is reflected in the increased participation of Qatari companies in regional competition, which has more than doubled in the past year and is expected to continue to increase annually,” he remarked.

According to Great Places to Work, the employees reported their experiences of trust, innovation, company values, and leadership, and these rankings are based on that feedback.

The evaluation process takes place with respect to the firm’s space in creating a unique work experience for its employees, the company stated adding that numerous individuals across the companies based in Asia were reported of high levels of care, both from their managers and from co-workers.

Youssef further commented, “We congratulate all the winners who made it to the Best Workplaces in Asia™ list this year.”

“Being on this list demonstrates not only a commitment to excellence but a dedication to employee satisfaction and growth. We are proud of this accomplishment and look forward to seeing the companies continue to lead with excellence,” he added.

The results, however, indicated that with such a positive environment within the organisations, the majority of the workers stated their happiness to continue under the same management. The data also revealed that 90 percent of the employees displayed enthusiasm for remaining in their respective firms, compared to just 58 percent at the typical workplace.
